LOS ANGELES (AP)

A husband and wife have pleaded no contest to all charges in a hit-and-run crash that killed a University of Southern California student and seriously injured another.

Prosecutors say 31-year-old Claudia Cabrera and 33-year-old Josue (hoh-SWAY') Luna entered their pleas Thursday to felony hit-and-run as jury selection was about to begin. Cabrera also pleaded no contest to misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.

She faces up to eight years in state prison and her husband could get seven.

Police say Cabrera was driving when their car ran a red light last March and hit 18-year-old Adrianna Bachan and 19-year-old Marcus Garfinkle. Bachan died.

Police say the car only stopped so Luna could pull the injured Garfinkle off the hood.
