COVINA, Calif. (AP) - Covina has become the latest Southern California city to ban medical marijuana dispensaries.
The San Gabriel Valley Tribune says the City Council adopted an ordinance Tuesday banning all types of pot dispensaries, including mobile units. A staff report says a handful of dispensaries outside town advertise delivery to the Los Angeles suburb.
The state Supreme Court gave cities permission to ban pot shops in a May ruling involving a Riverside case.
