RENO, Nev. (AP) Firefighters are battling several lightning-sparked fires in northern Nevada and nearby California, including a 1,700-acre blaze that has claimed at least three structures near the Lassen County community of Doyle.
Fire officials said Sunday about 150 firefighters had the Constantia fire about 30 percent contained after homes near U.S. 395 and Constantia Road were evacuated.
No injuries have been reported.
Near Bridgeport, the 543-acre Potato fire was about 20 percent contained, with 125 fire personnel on the lines. No homes were threatened.
The 220-acre Roberts fire near Hallelujah Junction north of Reno was reported to be about 50 percent contained.
Fire officials reported that crews gained control of the 40-acre Garson fire near Verdi.
