A spokesperson for the United States Forest Service says the Pozo Fire is 89 percent contained.

The fire broke out in northern San Luis Obispo County on Saturday afternoon and has burned a total of 1,151 acres.

A significant amount of resources is expected to be released from the area today. As of Tuesday morning, there are 640 personnel assigned to the fire.

The USFS says very little fire activity occurred overnight and crews expect to have the fire contained later today.
