About twenty firefighters are on the scene of a half-acre vegetation fire in Lompoc Thursday evening. It is in a drainage area that runs between A and D streets.
Fire Chief Kurt Latipow said the fire is not growing and no structures are threatened. He also said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Crews from the Santa Barbara County Fire department and Vandenberg Air Force Base are assisting mopping up the fire.
