Crews are responding to reports of a vegetation fire in Lompoc.
The fire reportedly broke out shortly after 1:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of Miguelito Canyon, south of Lompoc.
As of 2:20 p.m., 50 acres were burning. It is heading toward heavy brush and is being pushed by winds, fire officials say. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says structures are threatened and an evacuation is underway from the 2500 block of Miguelito Canyon Road to Cypress.
They are fighting it on the ground and from the air.
Power lines are down in the area.
