Cuesta baseball ranked #8 in State Preseason Poll

The Cuesta College baseball team opens the preseason ranked in the top four in Southern California and top eight in the State Poll.

Behind 11th year head coach Bob Miller, the Cougars are ranked #4 in the SoCal Region according to the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association. The Cougars received 212 points in the preseason poll. Rio Hondo is ranked first with 283 points.

Cuesta opens the season Friday at 2 p.m. at home against 3rd ranked Orange Coast. They play a doubleheader at 10 a.m and 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Allan Hancock College is tabbed 18th and Santa Barbara City is ranked 19th in the preseason poll.

Cuesta is ranked 8th in the State Preseason Poll.

The Cougars are coming off a 23-15 season, where they won their third Western State Conference title in the last six years. They advanced to the State Playoffs for the 17th year in a row.
