The seventh ranked Cuesta baseball team won both games of a doubleheader against 18th ranked Canada College on Saturday. The Cougars beat the team from Redwood City 6-2 in the first game and 9-8 in the second. Sophomore outfielder LaBronze Sanderson was 6-for-8 on the day.

Sanderson had a big hit in game two, he tripled in the bottom of the 9th to drive in a run and than scored two batters later to tie the game. Cuesta didn't score the winning run until the 10th when Josh Miller drove in a run on a sacrifice fly.

The wins improve Cuesta's record to 4-3 and the Cougars have now won four straight. The team is next in action on Tuesday when it hosts College of the Sequoias.
