Cuesta basketball wins at Modesto Tournament

The Cuesta College men's basketball team will meet perennial state champion Fresno City College Thursday at the 16-team Modesto Tournament. The Cougars set up the meeting with a 68-63 win over Imperial Valley on Wednesday night.

6-4 sophomore Plamen Hristov led the Cougars with 30 points, while freshman Oscar Pedroza of Portugal added 23 points for Cuesta.

The Cougars improved to 7-3 on the season.
