Cuesta College's Hollister Bridge to reopen ahead of schedule

A bridge that provides a shortcut between Cuesta College and San Luis Obispo is slated to reopen two months ahead of schedule.

Cuesta College's Hollister Bridge is expected to open Tuesday morning at 6:00a.m. The bridge was closed for construction on June 1, 2008 and wasn't supposed to reopen until February 1, 2010.

The $2 million reconstruction project was funded by the Federal Highway Bridge Replacement Fund.
