Cuesta College to appoint interim President as Pelham accepts Persian Gulf post

Cuesta College today announced that the school's president has accepted a job as president of a college in the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. David Pelham announced his resignation yesterday in an e-mail to Cuesta College staff, faculty and students. Cuesta College will appoint an interim president to fill Dr. Pelham's position until a permanent replacement can be found. A nationwide search for suitable candidates will begin as soon as possible, according to a press release.
Dr. Pelham was hired by the Cuesta College Board of Trustees at the end of 2007 and began working in March of 2008. He is the college's fifth president.
