Cuesta softball routs Oxnard 18-0 in conference game

Christina Corsaletti went 4 for 4 and Kaitlyn Rinder clubbed a 3-run home run as part of a 7 run first inning as the Cuesta College softball team routed Oxnard 18-0 on Tuesday.

Cuesta snapped a 3 game slide and improved to 7-4 in Western State Conference play and 15-17 for the season.

The Cougars took advantage of six Condor errors and collected 15 total hits in the 5-inning victory.

Starter Celine Blanco and Corsaletti combined on a 1-hit shutout.

Kryn Masutani went 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI. Rinder went 2 for 4 with 4 RBI. Blanco went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI. Summer Best went 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored. Atascadero High graduate Laura Gorman and Courteney Bragg each scored 3 times.

Cuesta plays at Moorpark on Thursday in a WSC game.
