The Cuesta College men's water polo team stayed unbeaten in Western State Conference with a 20-6 win on Wednesday against Santa Monica College. Fifteen different Cougars scored at least one goal in the lopsided win to help the defending conference champions improve to 2-0 in league games.

Luke Walton led the Cougars with 4 goals, while Matt Giancanelli and Spencer Silva each scored twice.

The victory opened a busy week for the Cougars. They host the Cuesta II Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

The Cuesta women beat Santa Monica 14-4. The Lady Cougars improved to 2-0 in WSC play. Seven Cougars scored in the game led by 2010 All-WSC First Team selection Alex O'Connor, who had four goals. The Cougars improved to 14-8 overall. The women return to action next Thursday in Glendora.
