The fifth annual culinary carnival was held in San Luis Obispo Sunday.

The event took place at the San Luis Obispo Embassy Suites Hotel.

Local celebrity chefs and restaurants prepared gourmet food, and local wines and beers were available. Guests could also participate in a silent and live auction.

The event is a fundraiser for Friends of Prado Day Center.

Prado Day Center provides services to homeless people in our community. All proceeds went to helping their efforts.

"We think that when all is said and done, this will raise in excess of $20,000 to help benefit our day center and our homeless clients," said Dee Torres, Homeless Services Director at CAPSLO.

Torres says Prado is the only homeless shelter in the county that provides daytime services.
