You don't have to go on an extreme diet to lose weight, just cut the fat.
British researchers analyzed medical and dietary data collected from more than 70,000 men, women and children.
They found those who replaced high-fat foods with low-fat alternatives lost three-and-a-half pounds and had lower blood pressure and cholesterol.
Experts say switching to low-fat milk or yogurt, and cutting the fat off meat, can have a real impact on your waistline.
None of the participants in the study were dieting or trying to lose weight, so they ate a normal amount of food.
