I will tell you something I can predict right now. Santa will deliver a lot of gifts to children around the globe. What looks a little more challenging is to predict if he'll need Rudolph's red nose to steer through rain on the Central Coast around Christmas.

Outside of one week the models diverge on rain opportunities around Christmas. The model I prefer to use can't make up its mind on what it likes. Monday morning's run liked a good sized storm, but it backed off a bit on the mid-day run and then thought dry on the night run. Interestingly it did the very same thing about two weeks before our last storm and the morning projections looked a little better than the wimpy night ones. So, right now I'd stay there is a chance at rain.

Now what is under the tree? That is the next thing to predict. I know what I asked for.
