Williams rushed for 1,506 yards and 12 touchdowns. He surpassed the 100-yard mark in rushing a school record 10 times in 12 games this season, including a season-high 188 yards against UC Davis. Deonte is the 15th Mustang to crack the 1,000 yard mark and averaged 6.5 yards per carry. He ranks #2 all-time on Cal Poly's all-time single season list falling 72 yards short of James Noble's school record of 1,578 yards in 13 games in 2005.

Williams also earned a spot on the Second Team by Beyond Sports Network, while senior linebacker Kennith Jackson was a Third Team pick.

It marks the third-straight season a Mustang has earned a spot on the Sports Network FCS All-America Team. Asa Jackson was a Third Team pick in 2010 and 2011. Ramses Barden landed on the First Team and Stephen Field was on the Second Team in 2008.
