Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies have detained an elderly man who they say was driving erratically in the Lompoc area.

The Sheriff's Office received a call from a woman around 10:25 Thursday morning who was concerned for the man's well-being and said he might have a gun in his car.

Deputies contacted the man in the 2400 block of Cebada Canyon Road and after a 15-20 minute stand off, took him into custody.
