People are looking for everything from the classic Fuzzy Chicken to the more risque "Backdraft Babe."
"As always it's pirates, saloon girls, gangsters, and a lot of people are doing Avatar for some reason," said Erik Austin, of Costume Capers.
"We've had some new gypsy costumes, and SWAT was really big this year, we're sold out unfortunately," said Maria, the manager at Halloween Express.
Business is up this year compared to last year, with Halloween enthusiasts spending between 30 to 100 dollars for their must-have costumes.
Workers at Costume Capers on Parker Street said they're prepared for the last-minute shoppers. They anticipate a line out the door through Monday.
Many people are planning on dressing up Friday night, Saturday night and Halloween night. And some of them buy more than one costume.
