A Central Coast program is helping to stretch the dollar for your family as it extends its diaper drive.
United Way of Northern Santa Barbara County started its first ever Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program this summer.
Since June, the non-profit has partnered up with local businesses to collect donations of new baby formula, diapers and baby wipes. The products will be distributed to various agencies around the county.
"The agencies came to us and said we need lots of help, we need products as well as money. So what we did was look at it as a way to redefine the term 'contribution,'" said Eddie Taylor, CEO of Northern Santa Barbara County United Way.
The response has been so successful that the program will now run through the end of August.
