Dignity Health of the Central Cost is having a bone marrow donor drive to find matches for two local patients.
Connie Hughes of Arroyo Grande and Randy Salmon from Nipomo are both searching for their perfect bone marrow matches to save their lives.
Joining the National Bone Marrow Registry takes less than 10 minutes and only requires a painless cheek swab. Community members between the ages of 18 and 44 are encouraged to join the registry. It provides bone marrow to leukemia patients and others with blood diseases.
You can attend the Bone Marrow Registry Drive Wednesday through Friday between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the following locations:
Wednesday, March 6th, Marian Regional Medical Center Café
Thursday, March 7th, Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Café
Friday, March 8th, French Hospital Medical Center Café
No reservations are required to attend the drives.
