On May 15, the St. Patrick Catholic School 8th grade class donated handmade lap blankets to the patients at the Acute Rehabilitation Center at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital.
This donation is for the classes' Mercy Project, an annual community service project.
The Mercy Project is designed to help children get involved by sharing with those in the community who may be less fortunate. Each class comes up with a new idea to complete their project and experience the gift of giving.
Last year the 7th grade class donated jeans to teens in the community.
