Twin sisters Kimberly and Kristina Hendrick signed national letters of intent on Wednesday to swim at UNLV next year.
The Righetti High swimmers have competed at the varsity level since their freshman years. Kristina focuses on long distance events, while Kimberly foces on endurance events like the 200 butterfly.
The two said their decision to become Runnin' Rebels made the most sense. "We were looking for schools that have our major, which is hotel management, and UNLV being in Vegas obviously has a good hotel management program," said Kristina.
"Both the head coach and the main assistant coach are very nice and they show that they want to make their swimmers better by the practices that they do and how they run their program there," added Kimberly.
The twins will get a chance to swim against their older sister Karen, who swims at Wyoming, which competes in the Mountain West Conference along with UNLV.
