Downed power lines left some 2800 customers without power in Santa Maria. It happened just before 11:30 this morning near the 500 block of South Oakley. Santa Maria firefighters responded to a small grass fire and shut down the street while PG&E crews worked to restore power. Within 40 minutes, most of the affected areas were back up and running.
