A dramatic rescue of a toddler after a car burst into flames on the Cuesta Grade Tuesday evening.
A 19-year-old from Atascadero was driving in the northbound lanes of the grade when her car starting smoking. She pulled her car over on the side of the road and that's when the vehicle burst into flames.
The California Highway Patrol says she got out safely and was able to get her three year old son out in time.
Someone had also called the CHP and crews got the flames out pretty quickly.
Fortunately, mom and son are doing fine, just a little shook up.
