Driver burns to death in accident in rural San Luis Obispo Co.

Emergency crews are on scene of a deadly accident in rural San Luis Obispo county.

California Highway Patrol officers say at about 7:30a.m. Friday, they received a call about a pickup truck that had crashed into a ditch on northbound Santa Rosa Creek Rd, just north of Highway 46.

When officers got to the scene, they say they found the male driver dead. He had been burned to death, when his truck caught fire.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

The victim's name has not been released.
