If you have any old televisions, computers, or cellphones, there's a green way to get rid of them for free.
The Exploration Station in Grover Beach refurbishes computers for families in need at a very low cost. If they can't use what you drop off, they will recycle it properly.
"We make probably a thousand dollars a month in recycling fees, that pays our expenses," said James Middlemist, Board of Directors at Exploration Station.
The drop off location is on 800 block of Ramona Avenue. The Exploration Station Wednesday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
