DUI checkpoint scheduled in Goleta Friday night

The California Highway Patrol is conducting a sobriety and driver license checkpoint beginning Friday night.
The checkpoint will begin at 8:00 p.m. and run through 2:00 a.m Saturday morning.
It will take place on Los Carneros Road and El Colegio Road.
Checkpoints tend to reduce the number of drinking drivers on the road even though arrest totals do not rise dramatically.
