Dunn baseball cruised into the Division 7 CIF quarterfinals for the second year in a row with a 30-5 win at Immanuel Prep on Tuesday. The Earwigs play at Santa Clarita on Friday in the quarterfinals. Santa Clarita edged Temecula Prep 2-1 in the second round.

A five-run sixth inning was too much to overcome for the Valley Christian Academy baseball team on Tuesday. The Lions lost in a Division 7 second round game 6-2 at Rolling Hills Prep to finish the season 12-10 overall.

The Lions took a 2-0 lead with two runs in the fourth inning. RHP cut the deficit in half with one run in the fifth before exploding for five runs in the sixth.

VCA tallied just two hits in the loss, while Rolling Hills Prep collected 11.

Brett MacGilfrey threw a complete game for RHP. He struck out 10 and allowed just two hits and two walks. He also went 1 for 4 at the plate with an RBI.
