Early rainfall catches some by surprise

The rain surprised some folks on the Central Coast, doing damage both inside and out. The CHP reported a few minor accidents on the highway this morning. They say keep a four second following distance and watch your speeds. The early rains bring out the oils in the road and can make for slick conditions.

A Grover Beach church did not expect the rain to come so soon. They were doing work on their roof and the rain poured in overnight, flooding the church. Restoration workers say it will take another three or four days before all the water is gone.

Watch KSBY News tonight at 5 and 6 for more on the effects of the early rainfall.
