Earthquake rattles Central Coast, no damage reported

A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 rattled the Central Coast shortly before midnight Saturday.

There were no reports of damage, according to a San Luis Obispo County Sheriff dispatcher.

Nearly 5,000 people reported they felt the earthquake,according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS said the epicenter was northeast of King City.
