It's time to cut off the smaller pumpkin on vine #1!
As you can see we have two pumpkins about the size of volleyballs, but one is definately larger than the other.
"It's a beauty!" Dr. Joe Sabol said with his wonderful enthusiasm! And it is! We keep the pumpkin covered with a towel so it won't burn in the sunshine, and in turn we hope the pumpkin won't crack later on. Another trick we learned from Joe.
He had a lot of tricks up his sleeve!
If you go to www.bigpumpkins.com and check out some of the photos on that site you will see a lot of gardeners who have pop-up tents or tarps over their pumpkins, so you can do that too.
We are on our way!
