Elderly woman hit by car in San Luis Obispo

An elderly woman was hit by a car at the intersection of Chorro and Higuera Streets in San Luis Obispo around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. The woman was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital in moderate condition, according to San Luis Obispo City Fire Captain John MacDonald.
The woman was headed eastbound on Higuera Street and was crossing Chorro Street when the car struck her. It is not immediately clear which party had the right-of-way. The accident is under investigation by the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
