An eleventh person has been charged in the murder of Anthony Ibarra, the Santa Maria man killed in March.
Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce Dudley said Ramon Maldonado, Junior, 14, has been charged with first degree murder with a gang enhancement in Ibarra's death. He is the son and grandson of two others charged in the murder.
Dudley said Maldonado Jr. faces 25 years to life in prison.
Ibarra's body was found in the back of a U-Haul truck parked on an Orcutt street on March 19.
Police said Ibarra was actually killed two days before his body was found. They said he was tortured for hours before finally being stabbed to death.
Dudley also said she decided to not seek the death penalty if any of the defendants in this case are convicted.
More on Dudley's reasons for not doing so, and details on the latest charges on KSBY at 5 and 6 p.m.
