A new study reveals a sharp increase in emergency room visits for traumatic brain injuries.
Nationwide data shows that between 2006 and 2010, head injury visits grew 30 percent to nearly 2.5 million a year.
The largest increase was seen in kids younger than three and adults over the age of 60.
Experts say the rise is probably due to increased awareness and more diagnoses on concussions and other brain injuries.
