Evacuation location set up for large animals as the Lookout Fire burns

Santa Barbara County Animal Service is on standby status as fire fighter's battle the Lookout Fire in the Painted Cave area.
Right now, there is one evacuation location at the Earl Warren Show Grounds on the 3400 block of Calle Real in Santa Barbara. According to a grounds official, they are accepting large animals at this time; this includes any animal that cannot fit in a car. At this time the grounds can hold just over 500 animals.
There is also a hotline set up for people with animals who have been evacuated at 681-4223 for any further direction.
