CHICAGO (AP) - New research shows that even many healthy baby boomers will get heart disease as they get old. But the good news is that will happen much later for them than for their less healthy peers.

The findings come in an analysis of five major studies involving nearly 50,000 people aged 45 and older.

Among 55-year-olds who don't have heart risks like smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol, at least 1 in 3 will get heart-related problems by their 80s or 90s. But that's about seven years later than for those who have at least two of those risk factors.

The findings were published online Monday in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
