Vintage cars are helping to make the holidays a little brighter for some people along the Central Coast.

The 6th annual Open House and Holiday Toy Drive was put on by the Freedom Street Rods in Atascadero Sunday afternoon.

Around 200 people bring their vintage cars to put on display.

The price of admission is a donated food or toy item for Toys for Tots or Loaves and Fishes.

Office Manager Rachel Turner says, "We all like to get together and reminisce over family memories that are along the car lines, so i think that's what brings us together is the focus on fundraising, family, and friends."

Turner says they hoped to receive hundreds of pounds of food and many toys during Sunday's event.

She says the event becomes more of a regional hot rod community event fixture every year.
