Evos Restaurant in San Luis Obispo, which prided itself on its healthy fast food concept, has closed its doors for good.

The restaurant opened back in 2008, and was one of several franchises with locations in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. The San Luis Obispo restaurant was located next to Trader Joe's on South Higuera Street.

Owner Tom Maupin said he served his final meal Sunday, then closed the doors at 5p.m. He says in the current economic climate, what he felt was a good concept in the beginning just wasn't viable anymore.

Ten employees lost their jobs, including one full-time employee. Maupin says he has no plans to reopen the restaurant or any other restaurant in the near future.
