Exercise can help kids deal with stress

Children who exercise may be better able to handle stressful situations.

In a new study, more than 200 eight-year olds were asked to tell stories and work on math problems. Researchers found those who were most active had the lowest level of stress during these tasks.

Experts say exercise can improve mental health by regulating stress hormones.
