Exercise does not make hot flashes worse.
According to a new study, it could help women going through menopause.
Researchers at Pennsylvania State University studied nearly 100 menopausal women.
They wore accelerometers to measure their activity level and devices that kept track of their hot flashes.
They found most of the women who exercised had fewer hot flashes the day following exercise.
Women who were overweight or had more intense hot flashes did not see a significant benefit from exercise.
