Exploration station getting creepy this weekend

The Exploration Station in Grover Beach is playing host to some creepy crawly critters this weekend. Kids can come interact with creatures like a 3-foot Savannah Monitor Lizard named Gunther Jr. and Bandit, the 8 foot albino Python.

From 3 to 4 p.m. kids can see and touch these reptiles. Representatives from Prehistoric Parties will be there to educate and demonstrate.

This "Extend the Experience" event is free with paid admission to the interactive science center. You can also check out the new exhibits including the Shake and Break build table constructed by Cal Poly seniors.

The Interactive Science Center is open Thursday-Friday from 12-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11-5 p.m. $2 kids, $3 adults.

Exploration Station is at 867 Ramona Avenue, Grover Beach.
