Parents and their children were busy learning about science in Grover Beach. The Exploration Station opened its Children's Interactive Science Center on Saturday. It featured several hands-on exhibits along with some Mad Science experiments. Organizers said it's a great way for kids to learn outside the classroom. Jenna McDaniel, program coordinator, said, "I think part of inspiring children to learn is giving them an outlet where they can explore and discover and investigate and I feel like this is a place where kids can do that." You can check out the Exploration Station Thursday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. for just three bucks for adults and 2 bucks for kids.
