Family and friends of a Los Osos fisherman will celebrate his life at a gathering in Morro Bay.

A funeral was held on Thursday for David Kubiak, a local fisherman who died earlier this month after falling off his fishing boat.

The celebration will be held at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Morro Bay from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Investigators said 47-year-old David Kubiak died from a salt water drowning, and hypothermia. His body was found off the coast of Cambria, attached to a buoy.
