A local family is working to raise enough money to send a little boy through a serious surgery.
Bently Wilson, now 19 months old, had his first surgery to remove a cyst behind his heart when he was just seven months old.
He was the youngest child in the country to undergo that surgery.
But, the cyst came back larger and now Bently is facing another trip to the hospital.
His family says they have a team of 12 surgeons to preform the seven-hour surgery on Friday, July 20.
But with recovery time and changes to their lifestyle, it's going to be on-going challenge.
The family has held two fundraisers this week at Taco Loco in Arroyo Grande and Applebee's in San Luis Obispo.
But, they say, the best donation you can give is hope.
"Just please keep him in your thoughts and in your prayers," Paris Komie, Bently's aunt said. "anything helps, even just the smallest donation- a dollar. It doesn't matter, it's more than we had when we woke up that morning."
If you missed any of the fundraisers this week, you can still give back by donating to The Bently R. Wilson Donation Fund.
