The Santa Barbara Police Department confirms the Rabobank location on Bath St. in Santa Barbara was robbed Monday morning.
Officers are still at the scene of that robbery, which happened at about 10:00a.m. Monday. Investigators say a suspect walked into the bank with a handgun and demanded cash. They say no shots were fired in the incident. The suspect got away.
Investigators describe the suspect as a white man in his early 20s, with short blonde hair. He was about six-feet tall and had a thin build. He was wearing a black beanie, a dark-colored sweatshirt, tan shorts and had white socks pulled up to his knees with white shoes.
Officers are not sure if this robbery is related to another one that happened in Goleta on Friday morning. That happened at the Los Padres National Bank on the 100 blk. of Fairview Ave.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is handling the investigation of this robbery, with the assistance of the Santa Barbara Police Department.
