HERCULES, Calif. (AP) - The FBI has joined the investigation and police are appealing to the public for help in finding the killer of a 55-year-old woman who was found dead in her home in the usually tranquil city of Hercules over the weekend.

Hercules police spokeswoman Connie Van Putten says FBI forensic investigators and Hercules detectives were at the home of Susie Ko most of the day Monday looking for possible evidence.

Police say Ko, a mother of four adults, was found dead on the floor of her home by neighbors who had been called by her husband, Kelvin, when she failed to pick him up at Oakland International Airport around 11 p.m. Friday.

Van Putten says a preliminary autopsy report shows that Ko died of stab wounds and blunt force trauma to the head.

No suspects have been identified and police have no solid leads.
