Food and Drug Administration officials say you should shy away from supplements that claim to prevent or treat concussions.
The FDA is sending warning letters to companies that promise decreased recovery time and that their products can minimize longterm effects of concussions.
Experts say there is no dietary supplement proven to help people with a concussion.
They also say the supplements could contain harmful ingredients or lead parents and coaches to believe young athletes can return to play sooner than they should.
