An 18-year-old's life is cut short after a fight at a Santa Maria party.

Santa Maria Police were called out to a fight in the 2200 block of North Easy Street just after 10 p.m. Saturday night.

That's where police say rival gang members from three Santa Maria gangs and one Lompoc gang got into a pushing match.

The fighting escalated and two men were ultimately stabbed by rival gang members.

Erick Alonso-Esquivel, 18, and a 21-year-old man who will remain anonymous to protect the investigation, were rushed to Marian Medical Center. Alonso-Esquivel died in the hospital during emergency surgery.

No suspects have been arrested, and officers are asking anyone with information to come forward.
