Fire burning off Hwy. 101 in Los Alamos grows to 20 acres

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says the brush fire burning off Highway 101 near Highway 154 has grown to 20 acres.

The fire was reported around 3:25p.m. between Alisos Canyon Road and Zaca Station Road. Firefighters say two helicopter are fighting the flames from above, with six engines on the ground. Firefighters also say there are live power lines down in the area.

The fire is burning in light brush at a moderate rate of spread, according to a fire department spokesperson.
